Once upon a time there was a forest spirit who lived in the deep Black Forest. He had a very special fondness for raspberries.
Every day he roamed through the dense forest in search of the delicious red berries. One day, the forest spirit discovered a beautiful hedge of raspberries. It was full of fruit. However, before he could get to it, he heard a voice. It was a small, curious owl who asked him: "Why do you only eat raspberries, dear forest spirit?"
"I don't understand the question," replied the forest spirit. The owl turned its head, bobbed on the small branch of the fir tree and said: "Raspberries could be so much more!" The forest spirit became thoughtful while the owl looked at him with its big eyes. Somehow the owl is right, thought the forest spirit, the raspberries deserve more.
Our Black Forest raspberry brandy can unabashedly be called delicious.
The finest, hand-picked raspberries from Germany's warmest region, the Ortenau, form the basis for our raspberry brandy. The beguiling, pure scent of raspberries hits the nose as soon as it is poured. On the palate, the distillate impresses with its authentically clear character and expressive aroma.
As good as the raspberries used may be, the final touch to a top-quality distillate is the art of distilling.
The raspberry brandy №6 was distilled as part of Neusatz's 775th anniversary celebrations. Hundreds of interested people and lovers of this high-proof natural delight watched the almost 6-hour distillation process. After a short maturation period, the raw distillate was reduced to a harmonious 40 % vol. with the best Black Forest mountain water, which naturally has only 1 °dH.
Raspberry brandy obtained by maceration and distillation.
