The German equivalent of grappa, grown on the steep slopes of the Ingersbach valley in Neusatz.
Our pomace brandy made from Pinot Noir is more than just a fine drop - it is the result of decades of tradition and the unique nature of the Black Forest. This region is known worldwide for its first-class distillates, which are produced with love and craftsmanship. Nestled in the rolling hills and deep valleys of the Black Forest, the vines for this exclusive brandy grow on a single, steep slope in the idyllic Ingersbach Valley in Neusatz. Here, on soils rich in minerals and in a microclimate that offers the grapes optimal conditions, the Pinot Noir grapes have been ripening to their full glory for over 40 years.
The Black Forest, famous for its dense forests, clear streams and rich history, is also home to some of the best distillates in the world. Our pomace brandy made from Pinot Noir follows in this tradition and combines the best that the region has to offer: unparalleled nature, precision craftsmanship and the centuries-old art of distillation.
As with Italian grappa, our pomace brandy is made from the solid components of the grapes, but with a character all of its own, shaped by the unique Black Forest landscape. As this brandy is produced in Germany and not in Italy, it may not be called grappa, but every drop contains the same passion and care.
Come una grappa, ma non chiamatela grappa
The special location in the Black Forest gives our grappa an extraordinary depth and a rich spectrum of aromas that you can enjoy with every sip. Whether as a digestif after a good meal or as a fine gift - this pomace brandy embodies the essence of the Black Forest and is a must for every connoisseur of high-quality brandies.
The raw distillate was reduced to 40% by volume using the best Black Forest mountain water, which naturally has only 1 °dH.
