Distilling schnapps
On the picturesque heights of the Black Forest, where majestic fir trees touch the sky and the air smells of resin, the Nöltner family has lived in Neusatz near Bühl for 150 years. Here, nestled in the timeless beauty of nature, the family tradition of home distilling has remained alive for generations.
Skilled craftsmanship and a love of nature shaped the first drops of the fine Black Forest schnapps that still forms the heart of the distillery today. From the creaking wooden floors to the modern copper stills of today, the Nöltner family has always been committed to perfection. Every bottle that leaves the distillery is a tribute to craftsmanship and a connection to the homeland.
Each generation has added its own touch while preserving the traditional quality. The Black Forest fruits, berries and herbs, carefully collected from the surrounding hillsides, give the handmade distillate its unmistakable character.
Today, in a hectic and fast-paced world, the Black Forest distillery Nöltner & Nöltner is a place of tranquillity and tradition. The Nöltner family is proud to share its history and its love of distilling with people and invites them to take a sip of Black Forest soul - every bottle contains the story of 150 years of dedication and passion. Here's to a future in which tradition lives on and the taste of the Black Forest conquers hearts.

Distilling kitchen
In the early days, the Distillery were located in the kitchens of the residential houses. In this way, the heat from the wood fire and the warm cooling water could be used. Later, the distilling equipment was located in adjacent farm buildings or in separate wash and distilling kitchens, while the term distilling kitchen [d' Brennkich] was preserved.
With the support of the regional development LEADER, our home distillery has received a new modern Brennkich in 2022. This can be visited during open distilling days. The distillery is traditionally from a Black Forest distillery builder, the company Müller from Oberkirch.

Cultural promoters of good taste
For nature, the climate, and good taste: Become an ambassador and promoter of a landscape-shaping culture and its high-percentage history.
By sponsoring a fruit tree of the Bühler Frühzwetschge variety, you help the silent queen of the plums to survive. At the same time, you will be helping to preserve orchard meadows which, with more than 5,000 animal and plant species, are among the most diverse habitats.
Experience how the Bühler plum tree grows up and bears its first blue fruits after a few years. You will be able to taste their aroma, because each tree sponsor will receive a bottle of Buhler plum water exclusively signed in his or her name from our in-house distillery.
You can find out more about the development from tree sponsor to cultural promoter of good taste here.
